The Howe family has been growing and selling fresh produce through their roadside market since the early 1900s. The Howe’s mission has always been to provide their customers with delicious and fresh, high quality produce.
If it’s in season and grown in Ontario, you can count on Howe’s to grow it or source the best this region has to offer. Unique features to Howe’s market include; weekly variety samples, pick your own herb and flower garden, seasonal watermelon, buckwheat honey from our own on-farm hives, a line-up of fresh preserves and daily fresh picked produce.

The Howe’s are advocates of the importance of eating and supporting local, which is why they only stock fruits and vegetables grown by themselves or by trusted neighbours. June bearing strawberries: Our strawberry season starts with our earliest variety called 'Galetta'- gigantic, shiny, sweet and the juiciest variety that we grow. Our mid-season variety is called 'Jewel' which has been our staple variety since the early 90's, this variety is large, pleasantly firm with a traditional strawberry flavour that won't disappoint. Malwina is a relatively new variety on our farm that has quickly become a customer favourite, commonly called "Howe Sweet"- Malwina is dark red, with a taste that most closely compares to a 'white freezy'. This variety is available from early July until roughly July 20th. We also grow everbearing strawberries that are available from mid July until November- The variety we grow is called Albion and is the sweetest tasting strawberry that we grow!
